I can't believe I found this. 20 years ago I had some contact with this group. they stayed at my house. They taught us all kinds of incredible techniques kept us up all night and one woman Marta or Mona or something sent me out "to take space" and slept with my boyfriend. They asked for money and even tried to kick us out of the house. How could people be so "spiritually" aware and not humanly aware. weird.

This is an interesting story. No doubt current panamites would respond with the words "but we've changed " as quoted on the website. But the real question worth pondering is: where did they learn that behavior in the first place? eh?

I was part of John's "group" for years lived with him many times etc. Although John may have had profound spiritual experiences as many of us have had he was and from what I hear still now a deeply deluded man. He lied constantly became addicted to nitrous oxide for years slept with most of the women in his group practiced dark magic on those he believed were his "enemies" and on and on. This is not hearsay. I was there. He believed he was God the father and that gave him license to behave as he wanted. His intentions may have been good but "the man" had and probably still does have major problems. A good teacher in what a "true" spiritual teacher is not. It took years to unwind all the spiritual beliefs and bulls--- he taught. Many people in his group are still scared of the color red. It’s wonderful that he may have played a part in your awakening. I had many wonderful experiences as well. Just have no illusions about this "deeply enlightened man."

I was with John for almost 10 years. I was in his inner circle for many of those. I lived with him off and on over the years. Unless you were part of his close knit circle you only saw a small part of what was going on. You would never see what was going on at his more public meetings. Ther was a whole other drama going on behind the scenes. You weren't there when he sent us out to pull in new people telling them that John was Krishna back on the planet again the one and only avatar God the Father! I did nitrous oxide with him countless times. I participated in his black/grey/magic. Many people who skirted on the outside briefly had only positive experiences and never saw all the weird stuff that went on. There were many many lies. John taught many methods and many many beliefs. Yes there was a "transmission of energy". It made it that much more confusing to separate true teachings from spiritual hogwash.

I want to weigh in on this: I was on the periphery of the group for over 10 years and occasionally got to see inside through listening carefully to insiders and occasionally (yes) eavesdropping. I think there's some validity to both people’s points. John did teach simple but powerful techniques he was also often clairvoyant. He did tell people he was Krsna and/or "God the Father" he did do and teach others to do "psychic guided missile" attacks. His successful students like Barry and Richard Phillips warped out even worse than he did. He did have sex with nearly every woman that was good looking and he did do N20 Human growth Hormone and alcohol to excess. At his peak he did seem to have awesome powers but they seemed much diminished over the last 15 years. I think his vices overtook him but for that to happen one would also have to say he never was completely cooked. I also think the social forces of power corrupted the way they often do.

His Zapping which he called "Zaparooni" in which he claimed to be taking people to God (like god is a destination) was in truth induced by giving people LSD. I know the person who supplied the acid. Being worthy of receiving zaparooni was a carrot he held out to keep attracting people and keep them there. All the early sharings were about receiving Zaparooni from John and experiencing expanded states. It was a secret that it was LSD. He would give you acid read from the tibetan book of the dead and play the Moody Blues. Kind of like the wizard in the wizard of Oz

Judi was never a student of John. That idea of time's a wasting goes back to the beginning of spiritual practice. There's an old saying that says you must be like a man who has been bitten by a poisonous snake and knows he has not a moment to waste. The balancing teaching that accompanies it is that you must also realize that the gate to the barn has been left open your horse has already escaped so there's no hurry trying to find him. Which in plain english means that while we sleep in semi-consciousness the fullness of life is not available to us and we are missing out on it but also at the same time we are in an eternal system and if you don't catch on this time you will when you do so in that sense there's no rush :-)

The problem is with him justifying any kind of behavior based on his perception of that. The Dalai Llama spoke about the responsibilities a spiritual teacher has and when they cross the line in their actions how important that they stop teaching and that their students speak up and expose him if necessary. From what I recently heard John is still teaching only now he is attracting a new batch of 18 year olds kids. Spirituality means very little if you don't act with love compassion truth honesty humility openness. Those are the expressions of our natural state of being. Of course we all have minds that does not mean we have to act out everything that goes on in our head. Watching and acting are two very different things. I spoke with John a little over a year ago. My experience of him was he still was the same. I have nothing but love and forgiveness towards him. I still want nothing to do with him
